Lolo in Paris: Have you any scoop about Chuck and Blair on Gossip Girl?

You mean besides the fact they totally frakking rock? Well, according to Leighton Meester herself: “I think Chuck is for Blair just like Blair is for Chuck. They are perfect together. But I think that the whole thing with them is that they fight. If you saw them kissing and making up all the time or being best friends walking around town, it would be kind of boring. But maybe it will work out. I know that there is definitely a lot of back and forth material between them. There’s a lot coming.” Yay! P.S. You know how Serena hooks up with that artist kid, Aaron Rose? Well, Serena’s better half, Dan, ends up dating Aaron’s ex, Lexi. (Ah, what a tangled social web those Upper East Siders weave.) Also, and this is complicated, so pay attention: Chuck and Blair meet their clones, Chuck 2.0 and Blair 2.0, and end up giving their respective doppelgängers advice on how to hook up with the 2.0 version of themselves. Hopefully in the midst of all that, the original flavors of Chuck and Blair will realize that they are madly in love and will get back together already!

What will transpire when Gossip Girl returns?

Gossip Girl spoiler sources are spilling on the latest romantic happenings on theUpper East Side, and E! Online says the show’s original “it” couple, Nate and Blair, aren’t reconciling any time soon.

The reason for that? A certain new cougar ready to pounce!

That foxy older woman is Mädchen Amick, who, according to CW insiders, will appear in the season 2 premiere on September 1 and is expected to hang around for at least 4-5 episodes. Scandalous!

Is Nate Archibald ready for some cougar action?

Word is, Mädchen is heavily involved in Nate’s storylines and also has “a surprising connection to another new character on the show.” What? Who could it be? That we’ll have to wait and see.

Still, if Chace Crawford (Nate Archibald) has his way, this won’t be the last of his love interests by any means.

“Nate’s kissed every girl on the show, and I think it’s going to keep going toward that direction,” the young star said. “Well, except Mrs. Van der Woodsen … but just give it time!”

Wendell in New Orleans: I’ve heard conflicting reports about Michelle Trachtenberg being on the new season of Gossip Girl. Do you know if she’ll be back?
I’m told there has been a little back-and-forth but that so far, M.T. has not been asked back for season two. Michelle herself said: “[Josh Schwartz] has told everyone that everyone is coming back and that it’s going to be like a crazy, wild cast of a million people, so I’d love to, I think it’d be great fun. It’s a character I’ve just thoroughly enjoyed…and pretty sexy.” Schwartz-love, bring her back so I can practice my Tae-Bo kicks at the screen! Wouldn’t be as much fun without someone to boil our blood.

Silas in Tacoma, Wash.: Have you heard this rumor about CW president Dawn Ostroff leaving her job? What does this mean for my fave shows like Gossip Girl?
According to my inside source at the network, there is some truth to the rumor. There have apparently been some talks with potential replacements, and the scuttlebutt is that Ostroff is looking for a new gig. Apparently, one way or another, regime change at the CW is likely to happen sooner rather than later. As for Gossip Girl, fear not. There isn’t a chance in Hades any new prez would kill that show.

While we’ve been fixated on the two biggest Gossip Girl spoilers - who comes out of the closet, and Serena’s secret - here’s another we came across this morning.

An insider on the set of Gossip Girl reports that someone on the show overdoses in the second-to-the-last episode this season.

That would be the week after next. “All About My Brother” is the next Gossip Girl episode, set for May 5. “Woman On The Verge,” scheduled for May 12, is the episode in question.

“Things go down, there’s a lot of OMG moments,” star Chace Crawford recently revealed on E!’s Daily 10. “It’s good.”

Thanks to a slip from Kelly Rutherford, we already know which male Gossip Girl character will be revealed as gay in an upcoming episode.

The fact that it’s Eric van der Woodsen (Connor Paolo) is not too shocking, given that of all the Gossip Girl characters pictured below, he’s the only one without a steamy hookup or romance plot line so far.
