Los Angeles, CA (June 3, 2008) - Freestyle Releasing has acquired US rights to The Haunting of Molly Hartley and will release the suspense thriller on over 2000 screens Halloween 2008, announced Susan Jackson, Co-President Freestyle Releasing. ICM represents the film for Liddell Entertainment and brokered the deal. The film stars Chace Crawford (”Gossip Girl”), Haley Bennett (MUSIC AND LYRICS), Jake Weber (”Medium”), AnnaLynne McCord (”90210″), and Shannon Marie Woodward (”The Riches”).

Mickey Liddell, producer of Go and The Broken Hearts Club and the hit teen TV series “Everwood” and “Jack & Bobby” directs The Haunting of Molly Hartley from a screenplay by John Travis (The New Daughter) and Rebecca Sonnenshine (American Zombie). Liddell Entertainment’s Jennifer Hilton is Producer and Stephen Kay is Executive Producer.

Gossip Girl’s Chace Crawford stars in this suspense thriller about high school student Molly Hartley (Haley Bennett), the new girl in town whose frightening past begins haunting her every move. While Joseph (Crawford) shows her the ropes at school, Molly uncovers the truth about who she really is and what she might become.
